The web site follows the four families through over 100 years. I hope that from over 300 photo's, postcards, letters and documents you will be given a picture of the times and the individuals personalities.

Recently I have been able to photograph many of the houses mentioned in the pages. There is nothing more pleasant when you knock on a persons door and show them a picture of a family in 1901 sitting in their back garden !
By doing this, I have also met a few people who actually knew some of the past family and gave me some memories which are portrayed in this site.
The 'Profiles' section contains individuals 'biographies' based on personal memories and information gathered from family past and present.

My thanks go to my brother Nigel who didn't throw the suitcase away, my
Mother   and my newly found second cousins, especially
Phoebe who has so much information
If you have anything
you'd like to add or would like further information

                     Home Page and Introduction
In Great Britain, the twentieth century saw two World wars, twenty five changes of Prime
Ministers, the fall of an Empire and the coming of an technological age.

Julia, Richard, Nigel, Sarah and Mark Cannon are the coming together of four families
which experienced between them much happiness and much sadness during this time.
It was an age of major change and this web site, I hope, shows both the history and
emotions of those who lived in it.
